I changed my mind (I'm a woman and get to do that ) I decided to actually show you my emotional flood. I am a bit shy- for some of you that is hard to believe and I am, so I did not go full fledged like I do privately or even in my car. I'm sure that when people see me driving with my hands flaring they have to wonder what I am doing. An emotional flood is a series of anchors that an individual stacks to elicit a specific emotional state. I do an emotional flood daily and often multiple times daily. I was so missing Phil today and I was also pretty flat. At the end of the day, I asked myself what I did differently and I recognized that because I had been so busy with work, I got caught up and did not do my emotional flood. You create an anchor by doing something unique at the peak of an experience and then do it over and over. For example. The next time you are really happy do a unique movement. Do it over and over and then when you want to get back to that emotion- fire off the anchor by doing the same movement. Anchors can be auditory, visual or kinesthetic. If you do all three at the same time, you increase the results. Love the Lovely Liz Lita (L^3)
